About a month ago, we wrote that under no circumstances should the Celtics trade Hugo Gonzalez. Actually, what we wrote was was this:

There is one particular young player on this Celtics roster whom I would protect at all costs. I would not include him in any deal, nor even consider his inclusion under any circumstances. I would treat his name in trade discussions the same way the C’s treated Rajon Rondo during their pursuit of Kevin Garnett by reiterating over and over again: Nope, you can’t have him.

In related news, Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to the Heat in part because Miami agreed to include Kasparas Jakucionis, who is the Hugo Gonzalez of South Beach. Or was, until the Heat sent him to Milwaukee. I like Jakucionis and think he will be a fine player. He’s no Hugo though.
